The Alambi Hummingbird Paradise is one of our favorite destinations for birding and photography feeders in the West Slope Cloud Forest. It is located in Tandayapa Valley only 1 hour from Quito. There are over 30 species of humminbirds that you can observe in 15 minutes! The feeders also have Aguacatillos Trees, which attract frequently the Golden-headed Quetzal and Crested Quetzal. The Tandayapa River is alongside the feeders, which also brings some other aquatic bird species and nesting ground for Andean Cock of the Rock, Lyre-tailed Nightjar and Cloud Forest Pygmy Owl. The Reserve has 120 Hectares and around 90% is Primary Forest.
